Juror:
Mary Anne Redding serves as Curator and Assistant Director of the Turchin Center for Visual Arts at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC.

Eligibility:
Open to artists who reside in NC, SC, GA, TN, or VA. Artists must be at least 18 years old. Up to 3 pieces of original artwork may be submitted.

Eligible Work: All mediums accepted. Work must be original and created within the past two years. All work must be for sale. 40% commission is taken on all sold work.

Notification: Acceptance/rejection notification will be sent via email the week of August 19th - 24th, 2019.

Accepted Artwork: Works may be hand delivered or shipped at the expense of the artist. Each piece of artwork must be labeled with artist's name, address, phone, email, title and retail price. All work must be packaged properly for return shipping. Prepaid return and/or pickup is the responsibility of the artist. A return, prepaid shipping label from UPS or FedEx must be enclosed. Work should be shipped or delivered to the Toe River Arts Gallery, 269 Oak Avenue, Spruce Pine, NC between 10:30 am - 5pm, Tuesday-Saturday, September 17th - 21st, 2019.

Pickup: All works must remain on view until the close of the exhibition or until sold. Works must be picked up from the Toe River Arts Gallery November 5th - 9th, 2019.

Liability: Toe River Arts insures all work while on its premises. Artists must provide their own incoming/outgoing shipping insurance. Toe River Arts is not responsible for damage due to improper packing or use of faulty construction.

Application & Submission Instructions: (you may want to copy and paste this information in a blank word document so you have it throught the whole process)

  1. Begin application by clicking "+ Register" in the top right corner.
  2. Create User Account
    • fill in name, email, and create a password
    • click "create account"
  3. Update User Profile
    • Fill in phone number, address, verify that you are older than 18, where you reside, and social media handles (if you have Facebook/Instagram)
  4. Click orange "Add New Submission" button
  5. Make Payment
  6. Fill out required fields with information about Piece #1
  7. Click "Submit Entry Details ->"
  8. Add photo of Piece #1
  9. Click "Complete & View Entry"
  10. Repeat Steps 4-9 for Pieces 2 & 3
